Abernethy New Home Build
New Home Build
This project involved the extensive renovation and extension of an early 1970s two storey brick home. The original structure was stripped back to its core and thoughtfully rebuilt, with a clear intention to respect the character and scale of the established neighbourhood while creating a contemporary and highly liveable family home.
A palette of calm, neutral tones carries throughout the interior, creating a timeless foundation designed to support family living both now and into the future. The layout has been carefully considered to allow for flexible and generational living if required, with multiple family spaces that each offer their own sense of purpose. These areas allow family members to come together while still providing room to retreat and relax.
The bathrooms are practical and well appointed, finished with fresh, modern materials that balance durability with refined design. In the main living space, a striking cathedral ceiling adds height and openness, while a welcoming bluestone feature wall at the entry sets a strong architectural tone from the moment you arrive.
Timber flooring flows throughout the home, complemented by carefully crafted timber detailing within the walk in robe. Large windows have been positioned to maximise natural light and strengthen the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Outside, the alfresco area and timber deck extend the living environment, creating an inviting space designed for relaxed outdoor living, entertaining and everyday family moments.
